    2. Diane Andreasen
    3. Searching for info on the following families: KELLEY - Searching for the family of Benjamin (Thomas?) KELLEY b c 1772 NY (according to 1850 PA census) m Mary HOEL/HOLE early 1800's PA. Mary was a sister to the many HOEL's in Oregon Twp., Wayne Co. area 1850's. The family migrated to Wayne Co., PA by 1822 when a dau., Nancy, was born. (Another dau., E. Mahala, married into the BUCKINGHAM family of CT.) It is believed the family were very active Presbyterians. I have no info as to Ben's parentage. Family lore says the KELLEY's came from England on their own ship as they were shipbuilders. A son, Robert, married into the KILLAM family of Wayne Co. Benj. KELLEY had 2 tanneries in Wayne Co. OLSOMMER - Denis b 1822 Alsace-Lorraine, FR d in Pike Co., PA m Barbara HILD b Alsace-Lorraine, FR - they married in Brooklyn, NY 1845, and had 7 children. Interested in contacting any OLSOMMER's in the area. TURNER - Searching for Isaac TURNER b 1788 Paris, FR d 1867 Wayne Co., PA. Isaac m Nancy KELLEY in 1848 after he stopped at her farm in Salem, Wayne Co., PA and worked for her. They had 8 children: Mathilda who was a post mistress for NayAug, PA; John Milton (may have been married to a DEPEW); Franklyn Varney (m Carolena MEYER); Mary Angeline; James Buchanan; Rosilla Correll m LOCKARD & HAUSER; Elma Martha DENISON & BIRD; and Elmer Marcus (last 2 were twins). Family lore says Isaac 'came from the Middle West' when he stopped at Nancy's farm and that he had been married twice before. Nothing is know of these marriages but he had children from them. In the 1850 Wayne Co., PA census a John TURNER is shown living next door to Isaac/Nancy. His children were: Maria, George and Milton - twins; Victoria and Virginia, and Henry. Since the name MILTON shows up in the children with Nancy plus twins in each family (this also carried into the next generation), I feel this John was an earlier son of Isaac. 3. Hello everyone - I have had a road block that I finally solved, However like every solved problem in this game it opens at least 2 more. I have been looking for the parents of Martha Jane Connor ( 4/25/1838 - 6/22/1917) that was married to to Jacob E. Shaffer (4/1841 - 6/22/1917). I found that her Parents were John Connor and Hannah (Lee) Connor. Her death Certificate lists her birth in Pa, However her parents were born in Ireland. Does anyone have any info on John and Hannah? While we are at it I again can not make out two causes of death that I have found. Everyone was wonderful with your last bit of help with this I hope You can help out again. 3. Hello all If you have a set of web pages referring to your research on a family name appearing on my lineage data index page http://www.dsdata.com.au/genealogy/nepa/af_index.html I will be happy to add a reference to your site on the actual surname index page. Examples can be seen for the CARY, SWINGLE and TEWKSBURY names. Ideally I would prefer to link to sites with miltiple pages of information, but with this initial offer....... Sorry I forgot - I'm not selling anything. The connection is free. Just let me know your surname and URL. Small graphics will be used in the reference if they are available. Links to surname sites which contain NE Penna branches are also acceptable. Fred -- _-_|\ Frederick W. 1. [PAWAYNE-L] NE Penna census data
    2. Frederick Myers
    3. Hello all As it whas been VERY quiet on the lists for a while and my transcription efforts have been slowed by other data preparation requirements (read taxes), I decided to take a quick look at the data which is already being shown on the census data pages on my site. I have added a new page - linked from near the top of both the 1850 and 1910 census data index pages - e.g. - http://www.dsdata.com.au/genealogy/nepa/census1850.html The link points to a page higlighting some of the more long-lived members of the NE Penna community (in 1910). The page raises the question as to which household these mostly 70 and 80 year-olds might have been living in during the 1850 census. I accept that if I had more data from the in between census years it would be a great deal easier for me to make the connections. :-( I'm working on it but would really like to complete 1850 first. Are any of your relatives on the list? Enjoy Fred -- _-_|\ Frederick W.
