Rosalie Anne Yaczola Scottdale Formerly of Phoenix, Ariz. Anne Yaczola, 86, of Scottdale, formerly of Phoenix, Ariz., died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at Woodcrest Senior Living Community, Scottdale. She was born Oct. 4, 1917, in Westmoreland County, a daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Meca) Kucik. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Yaczola, in 2001; a son, Stephen "Mickey" Yaczola; a daughter-in-law, Odina Yaczola; six brothers, Alex, Michael, Pete, John, George and Steve Kucik; and a sister, Helen Shaffer. Anne is survived by her grandson, Stephen, and his wife, Theresa, of Uniontown; a brother, Nick and his wife, Sophia Kucik, of Farrell; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Herminie, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Panachida service will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral of Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Herminie, with Father Gregory Michalisin as celebrant.
