FURMAN, KRESS, COOL, POTAVIGNE, TURNER, MCCORMICK, HENDERSON Mrs. Grace FURMAN, wife of Harry FURMAN of Scio, Ohio, died at the family home Monday evening, January 7, of kidney disease, aged 33 years. Mrs. FURMAN was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. KIGHTLINGER of near Primrose. The family formerly lived in McDonald and Mrs. FURMAN was a member of the local hive, Ladies of the Maccabees. She is survived by her husband, three children, Bertha, Catherine and Merrill, her parents and one brother, Frank KIGHTLINGER of Wellsburg, W. Va. The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon at Scio were interment was also made. Mrs. Phillipine KRESS, aged 72 years and 9 months, wife of Nicholas KRESS of Midway, died Monday, December 31, 1906, at 11:45 p.m. The deceased was stricken with paralysis Sunday afternoon. Two children, Mrs. E. LOFFERT of Midway and John KRESS of Primrose, survive. The funeral was held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. LOFFERT, Friday afternoon by Rev. J. H. TARNEDDE of McKees Rocks, assisted by Rev. HEADLEE. Interment at Centre cemetery. Stella, six-months-old daughter of Lee COOL of Cherry Valley, died Saturday evening, January 5. The funeral took place Monday and interment was made at Noblestown. The infant son of Louis POTAVIGNE of Champion died Monday and the funeral took place Wednesday. Misses Tacie and Mary JOHNS have returned from Darlington, Maryland, where they attended the funeral of their cousin, Mrs. Mary J. TURNER, whose remains were interred in the Friend's cemetery at that place James MCCORMICK of near Coraopolis, who had been ill for several months, was laid to rest in Sharon cemetery last Thursday. He was well known, and in spite of the bad condition of the roads, his funeral was largely attended. *McMinn column Mr. and Mrs. J. S. MCCALMONT were called to Houston on Saturday where Miss MCCALMONT's sister, Miss Lizzie HENDERSON, died quite suddenly. *Bulger column
