The sermon to the graduating class of the Cecil Township High school will be preached by Rev. MILLER of the Midway U. P. church, Sunday evening, May 27, at 8 o'clock, in the Venice U. P. church. The commencement exercises will be held in the Venice U. P. church at 8 o'clock, Friday evening, June 1. Diplomas will be granted to the following students: Archie SCOTT, Walter BARNES, Mary MCELHANEY, Esther PATTERSON, Mary HOWELL, Jean MONTOOTH, Mary POWELL, Mary RICHARDS, Anna SMITH, and Elizabeth KIEMES. This is the last class that will be graduated from this high school in the three years' course, as the board of directors has decided to make the course a four years' one. This action of the directors in increasing the length of the high school course deserves commendation because it is a progressive step.
