Kimmins, 93, a longtime resident of Marysville, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at The Gables at Green Pastures. She was a homemaker and a telephone operator in the late 1940s and early 1950s. She had been a member of the Evangelical Friends Church since 1958 and during her younger days was an active member. Recently, she attended the new location, Shiloh Chapel. While her daughter Susan was growing up, she was active in the early MR/DD program, when the late Betty Brown taught the School of Opportunity, and in the beginnings of U-CO Industries. She had lived in Marysville since 1940. She was born Jan. 22, 1911, in Washington, Pa., to the late George D. and Cleo P. Settle McKee and was predeceased by a daughter, Jackie Stoutenburg; a son, Bill Kimmins; a brother, Bill McKee; a sister, Betsy Sligar; and three sisters-in-law, Margaret McKee, Amelia Harper and Louise Taylor. She married John L. Kimmins June 21, 1932, in Wheeling, W.Va., and he died in 1994. She is survived by two daughters, Laura (Paul) Florence of Marysville and Susan Kimmins of Williston; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four nephews and two nieces and their families; and a number of friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ingram Funeral Home. The Rev. Edward Vinson will officiate and burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Chapel in care of the funeral home.
