CAMPBELL, JACKSON, PLANCE, BOONE. SANDERS, LERPART, BLATZ Mrs. Ellen CAMPBELL, age 65 years, wife of Frank CAMPBELL of Muse, formerly of Monongahela, died at 4:25 o'clock Friday afternoon, December 30, 1927, in the Canonsburg General hospital following an operation. Mrs. CAMPBELL leaves her husband and four children: Mrs. Frank RUSCHEL of McKees Rocks, Mrs. John W. JONES of Canonsburg, Mrs. T. J. CAVANAUGH of MUSE, and F. J. CAMPBELL Jr., of Minersville. The body was taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. CAVANAUGH, at Muse. Funeral services were held in the Trans figuration Roman Catholic church of Monongahela, of which she was a member. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery. Mrs. William JACKSON, age 32 years, died at 3:20 a.m. Friday, December 30, 1927, at her home in Glendale, near Carnegie, after an illness of five weeks. Mrs. JACKSON was born in April, 1895 at Thom's Run. She was united in marriage with William JACKSON in 1911 in Pittsburgh. To this union was born one son, Robert. Besides her husband and son she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Margaret POUNDS, four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. W. M. THOMPSON of Muse, Mrs. BRADFORD of Muse, Mrs. S. J. PUSATERI of McDonald, Mrs. Frank STEWART of Carnegie, William POUNDS of Muse, and Edward POUNDS of Canonsburg. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the JACKSON home in Glendale, conducted by the Rev. J. M. MCQUILKIN, D. D., of Carnegie. Burial was in the Melrose cemetery, Bridgeville. Mrs. George PLANCE of South Burgettstown, age 75, died December 14, 1927, after a six-weeks illness, during which she suffered intensely. Mrs. PLANCE was the daughter of the late James and Sarah RALSTON of Kings Creek, W. Va. She had been a member of the Presbyterian church of Burgettstown, the past fifteen years, having brought her letter from the Methodist church of Noblestown. She is survived by her husband, George PLANCE, and the following sons and daughters: William D., Franklin J. and Harry A. of Wilkinsburg, Richard L. and Edward J. of McDonald, Samuel W. of Oakdale, Mrs. Edward NICHOLS of Sturgeon, Mrs. Joseph MCGINNIS and Mrs. Benjamin MCGINNIS of Oakdale also these sisters and brothers: Mrs. James CAMERON of Pughtown, Mrs. Viola WALSMITH of New Straitsville, Ohio, and Mrs. Charles TRUAX of Hollidays Cove, W. Va., Mrs. John VIRTUE of Florence, John RALSTON of Steubenville, Ohio, and Dallas RALSTON of Chester, W. Va. The Rev. Dr. HAYS conducted the funeral services. Burial was in the Chestnut Ridge cemetery. Mrs. Verne BOONE, wife of William H. BOONE, formerly of McDonald, died suddenly Thursday, December 29, 1927, at her home in Conotton, Ohio. Mrs. BOONE was taken ill December 26th and died at three o'clock in the morning of December 29. Elnora Verne MCGUIRE, the second daughter of Robert H. and Anna JOHNSTON MCGUIRE was born June 26, 1896, in Monroe township, near Bowerston, Ohio. She received her elementary education in the grade school of District No. 1 then completed her education by graduating from the Bowerston high school in 1914. Following this she entered the College of Wooster to prepare for teaching. After receiving the county certificate, she taught in the Hagerstown school and in Fishers school of North township. Subsequently she was called to a position with the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. in Pittsburgh, in which she remained until her marriage. In 1920 she was united in marriage with William Hugh BOONE. To this union were born three children: Ethel Jean and Joan, now living, and Mary Louise, who died in infancy. For a time Mr. and Mrs. BOONE resided in McDonald, Mr. BOONE being connected with the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. In 1922 Mr. BOONE entered the mercantile business in Conotton, Ohio, where they have since resided. Mrs. BOONE was a member of the First United Presbyterian church of McDonald, never having asked for her letter of dismissal. During her residence in Conotton, Mrs. BOONE was an active member of the W. C. T. U. of Conotton and she and her daughters attended Sunday school at that place. Besides her husband and two daughters, she leaves to mourn her loss, her father and mother, one sister, Mrs. Harold Eugene BOWER of Scio, Ohio, one Brother Samuel of Bowerston, Ohio, and many relatives and friends. Miss Ethel BOONE (sic), 571 West Chestnut street, Washington, and Mrs. R. J. BOSWELL, 255 East Beau street, Washington, are sisters of Mrs. BOONE. Services were held in the Conotton M. E. church on January 1, 1928, conducted by the Rev. Charles GILMORE, pastor of the Cadiz United Presbyterian church, and the Rev. Charles F. ROTHEL, pastor of the Conotton M. E. church. Interment was made in the Washington, Pa cemetery, January 2d. Mrs. T. O. BRIDGES received word of the death of her mother, Mrs. SANDERS of Springdale, Tuesday. Mrs. SANDERS' death was due to a short illness of pneumonia. The body of a man about thirty years old is in the John C. ROGERS mortuary, Barr street, McDonald, awaiting identification. It was found on Tuesday one the railroad track between Bulger and Midway. It is believed that in either getting on or off a freight train the man fell and was run over. His clothes bore the name of Leo LERPART, and Deputy Coroner ROGERS telephoned to the clothing store in Pittsburgh where the clothes came from and learned that a suit had been delivered in such a name at Moon Run. Inquiry at Moon Run as failed to elicit any further information. Mr. and Mrs. John DUFFY and son John were called to Sewickley recently by the sudden death of Mrs. DUFFY's mother-in-law, Mrs. M. A.
