CHERRY, EMERY, MARTIN At 11 o'clock Wednesday evening occurred the death of Mrs. Margaret CHERRY at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. F. LUTZ of Carrick. Mrs. CHERRY was sitting in front of a gas fire reading when her dress caught from the flames. Her dress which was woolen burned so quickly that she could do nothing to help herself and before her daughter reached her she was fatally burned. Mrs. CHERRY was born in Washington County and lived here until about 2 years ago. She is survived by three sons and two daughters: W. P.; Frank N., and W. E., and Mrs. C. W. DEAN of Washington County and Mrs. J. F. LUTZ of Carrick. The funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. W. DEAN of Venice. The interment will be made in the Centre cemetery at Midway. B. A. EMERY and sister Miss Myrta EMERY left on Monday evening for Coatesville, Pa to attend the funeral of their niece Miss Margaret EMERY, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William EMERY. *Hickory column Thomas MARTIN aged 20 years ___ and killed himself Sunday evening at his home. Mr. MARTIN has been in bad health for some time. Funeral services were held at this home Wednesday at eleven o'clock. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. JAMISON pastor of the U. P. Church of Sheridan formerly of Oakdale. The remains wee taken to Pittsburgh on the one train where interments were made in the Allegheny Cemetery. He is survived by his father and three sisters all at home. *Oakdale column
