SAWYER, SLOAN, PRY, MCBRIDE, VOIGHT, WHITMORE, FLYNN Mrs. George SAWYER died Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. M. PETTIT in Burgettstown. Mrs. SAWYER was for many years a resident of McDonald. The remains were brought to this place for interment on Friday afternoon, services being held in the Christian Alliance Chapel, Rev. HARVEY officiating. Mrs. Ellen SLOAN, aged 27 years, five months, and five days, wife of William SLOAN, died at her home on North Avenue, Monday morning at 7 o'clock. Deceased is survived by her husband, two daughters, Velma and Anna, her mother, Mrs. Jane HULME, one sister, Mrs. Fred LEMON, and two brothers, Thomas HULME of Nelsonville, Ohio, and George at home. Services were held at her late home Wednesday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock, Rev. W. D. IRONS officiating. Interment was made at Robinson Run Cemetery. After a week's illness of pneumonia Perry PRY died Saturday at 11 o'clock at the home of his brother, one mile south of Hickory. He was aged 65 years. Funeral services were held from the Robert PRY home Tuesday at 11 o'clock. The interment was made in the Mount Pleasant cemetery. Mr. PRY was born on a farm near the Cooke school house. He was a son of Lewis PRY, a Mexican and Civil War veteran. Mr. PRY had been a resident of the west for several years, but for the past two years had resided at the home of his brother Robert. He is survived by several children and the following brothers and sisters: A. W. PRY and Robert PRY, of near Hickory. Mrs. John WHEATLEY, of Washington; Mrs. Luther WORSTELL, of Wellsville; Mrs. BUTLER of Midway, and Frank PRY of Wellsburg. Mrs. Martha Vail MCBRIDE, one of the oldest and most highly-respected residents of Robinson township, died at her ... on Thursday, April 1, ... 83 years ... Mrs. MCBRIDE ... health for several years. Last ...ill and never fully recovered, and nine days before her death she sustained a broken hip by falling in her room. Her advanced aged and impaired health made her recovery from the fall improbable from the time. Funeral services were held from her late home Sabbath afternoon, conducted by Rev. T. A. GIBSON, pastor of the Robinson U. P. Church. The interment was made in Robinson Cemetery. Six grandsons of the deceased acted as pallbearers. Mrs. MCBRIDE is survived by the following children: Mohn MCBRIDE, of Ingram; Robert MCBRIDE, of Pittsburg; Daniel MCBRIDE of Portland, Oregon; S. V. MCBRIDE, at home; Mrs. A. C. PROUDFIT, of Robinson township; Mrs. Della ADAMS, of Clinton; Miss Anna at home, and Miss Lizzie living in Ohio. The twenty-day old son of Mr. and Mrs. Emile VOIGHT died Friday morning at 3 o'clock and was buried at Hilldale on Friday afternoon. Mrs. W. R. WHITMORE died on Monday at her home in Altoona. The remains were brought to Oakdale on Thursday for burial. Services being held at the home of J. F. WHITMORE. The deceased was an aunt of Mrs. W. A. REED of this place. After an illness of several weeks, Miss Sadie Leontine FLYNN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris FLYNN, died of exobthalmic goiere (sic) at her home near Midway, on Friday of last week. She was age 20 years. Miss FLYNN was a member of the St. Alphonsus church of McDonald, since locating at Midway with her parents about three years ago from Economy, Pa. She is survived by her parents and the following brothers and sister: Nellie FLYNN, Marie FLYNN and John FLYNN of Midway; David FLYNN and E. W. FLYNN, both of DeHaven, Pa. Funeral services were held in the St. Alphonsus R. C. church, McDonald. Interment was at Noblestown.
