source: News-Herald (Willoughby, Lake Co.,Ohio) Friday November 2, 2007 Steve P. RATCHKO, age 75, of Florence, S.C., formerly of Perry, Lake Co.,Ohio, passed away Oct. 29, 2007. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Nov. 6, 2007 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 523 Plum St., Fairport Harbor (Lake Co.,)Ohio. Steve was born Oct. 24, 1932 in Meadowlands, Pa. and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua. Survivors are his wife (of 52 years) Joan (HARRIS) RATCHKO; children Ronald RATCHKO, James RATCHKO, Christina (husband Stephen) PARSONS, Stephanie (husband Keith) ROUER, Mary Ann RATCHKO, Therese RATCHKO, and Lori (husbadn Tom) MERDITA. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and niece Kathi SIMENS. Preceded in death by his son David A. RATCHKO; his parents Ignace and Christina (ALBERT) RATCHKO; brother Anthony RATCHKO and sister Cecelia PEPOCK. Visiting hours are from 3 - 6 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 5) at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio. Rev. Peter Mihalic of the church will officiate.
