Hi Lori, Fuchs is the German for Fox. (the animal). Fox would be the English translation. Please note that Joseph Fox died 1847, (not 1837) and is buried in the Fox Cemetery, Perry Township, Greene County, PA. His wife received a pension following his death in 1847, so that is quite certainly the date. It is recorded in the Greene County prothonatary's office. Glad to be of assistance. Karen >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Thanks Cuz Karen, That is just the reason that I explained to Chris, that I like to send to our LISTS, they can correct any errors and also add valuable information that is not known. Don't you agree? Just like you taught us what the FOX name meant ! And I will change the date & burial place. That's why I don't pass information privately, I feel is being selfish and stingy ! When we are all here to put that extra sparkle into someones day of discovery. "HOT ZIAG A DEE !" Now if it is................... PRIVATE - PRIVATE (you know what I mean) between 2 people that they don't want other Geni's to know................that is different. That would be called SNOOPING !
