This may be a foolish question, but does anyone know of a printed list of 'nicknames' that I can secure? If so, please give me the title and a source! The nickname in our BURCH family (St. Fr. Co. MO) which I'm trying to identify is a sweet little white haired lady (in 1940's) who was called Aunt Mol. If it is to be taken at face value, (and the name was Molly) is that a nickname for another name???? I think it could have been a transliteration of the name Melvina (Aunt Mel) and through the years came to be spoken as Aunt Mol!!! Just a thought! Will appreciate any help you can give. thanks!
