Abijah Cole, aged 83 years and one day died at 8:20 AM today at his home, Pine Bank, RD 2. Death followed an illness of two months. Mr. Cole was born May 30, 1855, in Wayne Township. He was a son of Jacob C. and Frances Tustin Cole. He was twice married. His first wife was Mary Jane Shriver, and his second wife was Mary Jane King who died 43 years ago. He spent his entire life in Wayne and Jackson Townships. Surviving are one son, Luther Cole of Pine Bank RD 2, and one sister, Mrs. Caroline Carpenter of Waynesburg, RD 2. Private funeral services will be held at his home Thursday June ?, at ????o’ clock followed by public services at 3 o’clock at Mt. Zion Methodist Protestant Church. ??????? in charge of the Rev.
