Twenty-three members of the Class of 1933, McDonald High School, attended the 50th year reunion of the class July 16 at the Airport Holiday Inn. There were 11 guests present. Eighteen members are deceased. William MALARKEY, class President, was the master of ceremonies and welcomed the members and guests. William BURNS gave the invocation and Dr. Mel MOORHEAD led those present in a toast. Besides Mr. MALARKEY and Mr. BURNS, members of the reunion committee were Rachel DOUGLASS MALARKEY, Marie SCHAEFER WYKE, Minna BROWARSKY HARRIS, and Isabel COURDERC WAUTHIER. Committee members presented awards as follows: To Thomas CHALMERS of McDonald for making the first Reservation; to Damon ANTEL of Raleigh, N. C., for making the 33rd reservation; to Albert TEIHLET of Hammond, La., for traveling the furthest, and to William CAMPBELL of Oakdale R. D., for having the largest family. Mr. and Mrs. CAMPBELL, the former Annette BROCKMYER of McDonald, were given a special award for their 50th wedding anniversary, which the celebrated in July. Guests were Frank CASEY, Mrs. Edmond GALLOWAY, Steve STRANKA, Lee WAUTHIER, Byron LACOCK, Alex BAILEY, Mrs. William CAMPBELL, Mrs. Thomas CHALMERS, Mrs. Albert TEIHLET, Mrs. Paul MASQUELIER, and Mrs. Mel MOORHEAD. *Class Photo available.
