Friends, Word has been received from Rebecca Pauley that her good friend Bill Thompson (known to most of us as "Clair 2nd") passed away Sunday evening in Michigan. Our Sincerest Sympathy to his family. We will post an obit and more information when it arrives. Most of our older members and researchers knew Bill to be one of our most devoted researcher with a true love of Washington County. He grew up in west end Washington and made frequent travels back here for research. Surnames of most concern to him were THOMPSON, KELLY, KELLEY, and BEDILLION. His illness over past 3/4 years has prevented his research or communication with most of us. Bill's interest in Genealogy and Washington County gave many of us the awareness and interest in these ideas and spurred us on to investigate on our own. Many will remember him and HE WILL BE MISSED !
