The congregation of the Trinity U. P. Church, McDonald, honored its pastor, the Rev. Edward R. DELAIR, on May 15, which marked the 25th anniversary of his installation as minister of the church. The days' festivities began with the morning worship service, which was shared by the Rev. Mr. DELAIR and His son, Edward R. DELAIR, Jr., a student at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. A special choir, under the direction of Miss Marta PENBERTHY, with Eva STRIMEL as organist, sang four of Rev. DELAIR's favorite anthems. After the service and reception line, with Mrs. Vera GEMA attending to the guest book, some 250 church members and guests gathered in the fellowship hall for dinner. This was followed by a special program to honor the Rev. and Mrs. DELAIR. Dr. William LYTLE was master of ceremonies for the program. Martin PENBERTHY reminisced over the selection of Rev. DELAIR by the pulpit committee 25 years ago and the installation service held May 15, 1958, when Rev. DELAIR was installed as minister at Trinity.Several of Rev. DELAIR's favorite hymns were sung, led by Mrs. Dorothy PENBERTHY. A number of church members remarked about personal experiences during Rev. DELAIR's 25 years of service. A memory book and a monetary gift were presented to the Rev. and Mrs. DELAIR by Mrs. Joy PENDERVILLE. The program concluded with benediction by the Rev. Robert CALDWELL.
