Henry Speers purchased some land on the south end of Charleroi on Maple Creek from someone named Rees. Have you seen that land record in the PA Archives? There are a bunch of Rees listed in Odell's book Pioneers of Old Frederick County, VA. Most of them are prior to 1810 in Frederick County, VA. There is a John Sr and Jr. as well as Ann, David, Elizabeth, Enoch, Gideon, Hannah, Henry Jacob, Jean, Jno., Katherine, Lewis, Lydia, Margaret, Margret, martha, Mary, Morris, Morris jr, Rachel, Robert, Sarah, Soloman, and Thomas. Thomas and Jacob are south of Mills Creek near present Garrardstown at Little North Mountain in land transactions in 1753.
