B. Hicks of Wheeling, E. M. Atkinson of Elm Grove and J. C. Chambers of this place for $6,000. The hotel, which has been in possession of the Lawson family almost a century, is a landmark, and entertained Henry Clay, Andrew Jackson, William Henry Harrison, Lafayette and many other distinguished men.
