    3. Was there an Italian community in Charleroi in the early 1900's? I'm helping someone trace their family and the ship passenger list says they were going there. Thanks, Charli

    3. Charleroi was one of the biggest melting pots of the county. There was a lot of friction, also, between what newspapers called "foreigners" (any non-American) and Americans.
