    3. The Daily Independent, Monessen, PA; Thursday, June 11, 1908 Interesting Items Mr. A. B. MITCHELL, of Adrian, Mich., is visiting his daughter, Mrs. A. L. ARNER. Stephen WILLIAMS, a miner of Monongahela, was killed by a fall of slate Tuesday. Through service on the M & W branch from Monongahela to Mariana was inaugurated yesterday morning. William GILLINGHAM, a Monongahela ferryman was shot at four times by and Italian Tuesday night, but was unhurt. The foreigner escaped. The only place for different kinds of ice cream is MIKALARIAS & BERBATIS. MIKALARIAS & BERBATIS ice cream makes you get your money’s worth. Mr. and Mrs. A. M. THATCHER left this morning for Meadville to spend two weeks visiting among relatives. Robert SPHAR is looking after the store in the absence. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. MORSE and Mr. and Mrs. Frank HENRY left yesterday for Shelby, Ohio, where they will spend a summer visit on the Huron valley farm owned by Mr. MORSE.
