Mr. and Mrs. Leonard DESMET of Cecil will observe their 50th wedding anniversary next Tuesday (December 27). Mr. DESMET and the former Ellen LAING of Gladden were married December 27, 1933, in Wellsburg, W. Va. They are the parents of five children--Jane MITCHELL, Sandra BRILL, Lenny, Jr., and Alan, all of South Fayette Township and Florine ROLIN of Hickory. They have six granddaughters, five grandsons, and one great-granddaughter. They celebrated their anniversary with their family, relatives, and friends at a "surprise" dinner-reception Sunday night at Gregory's Restaurant, Kirwan Heights. Mr. DESMET is treasurer and general manager of Desmet Lumber and Supply Col, Cecil, a firm he has been associated with for many years.
