Death Claims Doug KOTAR Douglas Allen (Moe) KOTAR, 32, the Muse native who starred in football at Canon-McMillan High School, and went on to star as a running back for the New York Giants in the National Professional Football League, died of an inoperable malignant brain tumor Friday, December 16, 1983, in the Montefiore hospital, Pittsburgh. A son of Rachel MARLETT KOTAR, and the late Anton J. KOTAR, he was born June 11, 1951, in Muse. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. On July 22, 1972, he married Donna CAROSONE, who survives. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Douglas, Jr., and a daughter, Christine, at home; a sister, Delores, the wife of Paul HARRINGTON of Burgettstown; and two brothers, Anton (Mole) KOTAR III of Sturgeon, and Richard KOTAR of Muse. Funeral services were held Monday morning in Canonsburg in charge of the Rev. W. Robert CALDWELL, pastor of the Venice U. P. Church. Burial was in Forest Lawn Gardens cemetery.
