I think that year should be moved up some. On the LDS site you can get some death certificates up to about 1953 as I have found many for Ohio and these are complete originals. I can't remember the latest date for the WV ones but I have found tons of them for family and keep checking. The things I found the best at the WV site is the marriage certificates in later years there. I type the name using the wonderful "*' feature they have for names, in case of wrong spelling, and then I work from about the 1930's all the way to the end and you can find marriages up to about 1970 and some of those counties that are on line right now, such as Marshall county, give the parents names and some even have the mother's maiden name in the marriage certificate. Some counties there are none for and one of those, sadly is Ohio County, WV, marriage records. This is where it seems a lot of Washington Co, PA residents were married. So push for at least 1953 on PA death certificates. I find those years prior to about 1961 are sometimes the hardest to find due to lack on the SS death index.
