Mr. and Mrs. G. Kenneth DOWLER of Midway observed their golden wedding anniversary December 18 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford DOWLER, Washington Avenue, Midway. The gathering was hosted by Mrs. Wesley LOFFERT (Marion) of Fort Dix, N. J. and Richard DOWLER of Midway, children of the honor couple. A buffet dinner was served, with a three-tier wedding cake as a feature. A bowl of red roses and white carnations formed the table centerpiece. Mrs. LOFFERT acted as mistress of ceremonies. Mrs. DOWLER was Willa WALKER of Hickory. She and Mr. DOWLER were married December 18, 1933, in Wellsburg, W. Va., by Dr. Edward KRAP, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Verne DOWLER of McDonald. They have resided all their married life in Midway. Mr. DOWLER was employed by Pittsburgh Consolidated Coal Co., retiring in 1967. He was then custodian of the Robinson Township School until four years ago. They are the parents of a son, Richard of Midway, and a daughter, Mrs. Wesley LOFFERT of Fort Dix, N. J. Present at the gathering were Miss Janice LOFFERT of Indiana, Mr. and Mrs. Verne DOWLER of Bethel Park, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph ZIEGLER of McDonald, R. D., Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur WALKER of Hickory, Mr. and Mrs. Fred WALKER of Cross Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Jay WALKER of Burgettstown, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer BROWN of McDonald, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert DOWLER, Mr. and Mrs. James MCQUILLAN, the Rev. and Mrs. James CRANSTON, Mr. and Mrs. Roy CLARK, Mr. and Mrs. James MCKEAN, Jr., Mrs. Jerry BROCKMAN, Mr. and Mrs. Earl PHILLIS, daughter Judy, and son Joseph, Mrs. Thelma DOUMONT, Mr. and Mrs. Jules V.
