!INFOR: Washington County PA, Clerk of Courts listing In 2010 they couldn't locate the record for this entry (stored off site) for the following item: Swearingen, Thomas -- Riot -- No. 7 April 1797 (speculation is that this could have been a 23 year old Thomas Swearingen who was in Washington County at that time) The Whiskey Rebellion as 1791-1794. What would the term "riot" as a charge have meant in 1797? Thanks for any help.
