I am trying to locate Crooked Bullet. John Neal was killed at Crooked Bullet on May 1, 1778. John fought as a Sgt in John Buchanan's Co. of Militia but I don't know from which state. John's wife was Susanna. In 1785 Susanna and her children moved to Shirtee Settlement (now Chartiers Valley) and lived at Gambles Mill, Allegheny Co., Pa. I don't know where they came from. In 1792 Susanna and children moved to Smith Twp., Washington Co., Pa. and bought a farm known as the Wilson Tract. Does anyone know what state John Buchanan's Co. of Militia was in? Does anyone know where Crooked Bullet is located? Thanks for any direction. Clare in Fla.
