A few years ago, someone had asked me for some information on my BARNHART line in Charleroi. They had asked if I could send a GEDCOM. I don't know what a Gedcom is NOW, and didn't know THEN either, but like a fool, I sent them the info I had. Fortunately, the entire BARNHART line I had AT THAT TIME was incorrect. I say "fortunately" because the person who asked lived in Canada, and THEIR line was all in Canada, and NO CONNECTION to MY line. I'd never send my information like that again. I've got 1245 names in my FTM Genealogy program. I'd like to get rid of some of them, because they haven't been "proven" but I THINK if I delete a name back in the 1600's, it'll wipe out everything after that person, and I don't want to do that. Is there a way to eliminate certain names without wiping out a whole line? If I did what I want, and it wiped out a line, it would be wiping out 25% of my genealogy!
