Lists, I'm still recovering from being ill this summer. I'm almost half-way through working with & adding to the complete cemetery database. It's been slow-going with such a long list of cemeteries AND matching each to all the name changes. With the help of Gina Nestor's database, we have a more complete list of the changing names of many cemeteries. I have several more burial lists to add and photos too. If you have a burial list, check the Cemetery Index first to see if I already have it. I don't have every cemetery, certainly. The index includes cemeteries "just over the county line" of Washington County, PA. The index is here: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pawashin/cemetery/index.html The first column links to just an Information Card. This gives a quick view of Name, Location, Address, Background, etc. The second column has the County (or State) -- whether it's in Washington County or somewhere else. The third column gives a link to the cemetery burials online. The fourth column gives a link to photos, if I have any. The fifth column is whether it is a private/family cemetery, or the church denomination, or company owned. The sixth column is for lookups. As we get more online, there will be less need for anyone to do look-ups. But if you have access and I don't have the census, please consider offering lookups. I'll need your name and email address. ALL the cemetery lists MUST be considered incomplete, considering these factors: 1. many have unmarked graves 2. official records may not exist//may have burned//may have been lost 3. many stones may have been//may still be missing or were added later 4. when "walking the cemetery", people may have missed//may miss stones 5. stones may have been//may be unreadable 6. even obituaries *may* be wrong; even my sister's obit has her buried in the wrong cemetery To compensate for omissions, anyone can add a burial or send a corrections. I make a second page for these and link the pages together. I hope this information helps when you are looking for burials. I will continue to work on the cemeteries as I am able. Thank you, Judy, for all that you have dedicated yourself to. I hope that you are taking all necessary measures to safe-guard your health also. We all know that long hours at a keyboard can't be very good for one's health.
