My maiden name is Tenney and I assist the Tenney family association with locating ANY Tenney data. According to obits for Virgil Ray Tenney (d. Nov. 11,1990) and his wife Gertrude (Redman) Tenney (d. Aug. 14, 2007), they had children living in Fayette and Greene Counties. Virgil was b. 1939 in Buckhannon, Upshur Co.,WV, parents were Douglas Raymond Tenney and Wilda Avis (?) Ours. Parents of Douglas were Guy Tenney and Martha E. Kittle. >From googling, it seems that all these families lived for a time in Carmichaels, Nemacolin, Waynesburg, Wasghington, Crucible areas.
