All I know is that Dave (one source lists Devore) was the first husband of Bertha Florence Carroll (1886 - 1970), the daughter of William Spencer Carroll (1850-1913) and Levina Swart (1853-1930). Bertha and Dave had 5 children: Martha Lavina, Grealdine, Clara Genevieve, George T. & Carl D.. Bertha would remarry Raymond Cooper and have two more children James C. and Vivian. I also had a lead that the Ritchie family may have been from the Dallas, WV area. Any help with this branch is greatly appreciated.
