McClurg Frank E. McClurg, 70, of 909 Crest Ave., Charleroi, died yesterday at 9:05 p.m. in the Charleroi- Monessen Hospital. Mr. McClurg was born in West Elizabeth, July 26, 1898. He was the son of the late Edward and Lavana (Graham) McClurg. He was a veteran of World WarII and a member of the American Legion Post 22, Charleroi. He was a retired miner from the Daugherty Coal Co. Survivors include: a sister, Grace of Charleroi; a brother, Charles of Charleroi. Friends are being received at the Harold L. Charleroi, who died Saturday. Sept. 3.1983. at 2:10 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. Carroll Twp. Miss McClurg was born July 9.1905. In West Elizabeth, a daughter of the late Edward L. and Lavlna Graham McClurg. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Charleroi. Miss McClurg was a retired elementary teacher in the Charleroi Area School District. She was a member of the Retired Teachers' Association of Pennsylvania. Miss McClurg was preceded in death by two brothers, William G. and Frank E. McClurg. She is survived by a brother. Charles E. McClurg. of Charleroi. The Rev. Gerald McCormick. pastor. First United Methodist Church. Charleroi. officiated at the services. Burial was In Monongahcla Cemetery. The Schrock-Logan Funeral Home. Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave.. Charleroi. was in charge of arrangements. The Valley Independent Sep. 13, 1986 Page 10 Charles E. McClurg Charles E. McClurg, 701 Oakland Ave, Charleroi, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1986, at 9:25 a.m. in Wightman Health Center, Pittsburgh. He was 85. Mr McClurg was born in West Elizabeth on Jan. 1,1901, a son of the late Edward and Alva Graham McClurg. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Charleroi, Charleroi F&AM Lodge 615 and the Donora Elks Lodge 1265. He was a resident of Charleroi since 1913 and had retired in 1959 after 39 years of service for the U.S. Steel Corp. in Donora. He was employed as an assistant accounting supervisor for most of his years with the corporation. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Rush McClurg in 1956; a daughter, Olga Zak; two brothers, William and Frank; and a sister, Grace McClurg. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Schwerha McClurg; two nephews, William of Virginia Beach, Va., and Roger of State College; three grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. Friends will be received at the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc., W Fallowfield Ave. Charleroi. on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced Monday by the funeral home.
