Margaret (Moody) Kilbourne/Kilbourn was born July 3, 1828 in Washington Co.,Pa. and died June 27, 1888. These dates are taken from her gravestone inscription in Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville, Lake Co., Ohio and her death record at www.labs.familysearch.org Margaret married Julius B. Kilbourne around 1868/1869, as their daughter Margaret was born April 24, 1869 in Painesville, Lake Co.,OHIO. Daughter Margaret died 10 April 1939 in Painesville and was a librarian at Morley Library in Painesville. "J.B." was a Captain in the Tenth Ohio Volunteer Regiment and was born March 16, 1823 (don't know where) and died June 12, 1885 in Painesville, Lake Co.,OH. He was mustered into the 10th OVR on Jan. 9, 1863 and mustered out Aug. 9, 1865. I am compiling a Roster of all Lake County Civil War Veterans for the Lake County History Center (Ohio) and this is the info I have on this family. Would be interested to know the parents of Margaret Moody and a marriage date if anyone is researching this family. In the 1870 census for Painesville, Lake, Ohio listed in the household of J.B. Kilbourne and wife Margaret are a Robert Moody age 81 b. PA and Margaret Moody age 80 also b. in Pa. I am assuming they are the parents of Margaret Moody Kilbourne. Anyone researching this family that may even have a photo of J. B. (Julius?) Kilbourne? thanks, Ruth

For those researching the Robert Moodey family that migrated from Washington Co.,PA to Lake Co.,Ohio I have further info. I have obtained the obits for the entire family of Julius B. Kilbourne and Margaret Moodey Kilbourne. The obit for Margaret, who died June 27, 1888 in Painesville, Lake Co.,OH, states that she was was the youngest of three daughters who came to residein Painesville as a little child. (born in Wash. Co. July 3, 1823 per her death record). She married Julius B. Kilbourne on Sept. 15th, 1852. Robert Moodey, her father, purchased a cottage on State Street in Painesville some years later and Margaret (Moodey) Kilbourne and family shared the home with her parents (1870 census lists the families in same dwelling). Mrs. Margaret Moodey died in March 1872, with her husband Robert dieing in April 1876. Catherine Kilbourne, elder dau. of J.B. and Margaret Kilbourne died April 18, 1882 and Capt. J.B. Kilbourne died June 12, 1885. In 1872 son Willie Gray Kilbourne, age 16 passed. Margaret Moodey Kilbourne siblings death dates were: brother Moses Moodey died May 6, 1883 sister Laura, Mrs. Charles Adams, died Feb. 25,1884 Mr. Samuel Moodey died Nov. 2, 1885 At the time of the death of Margaret Moodey Kilbourne, one sister survived, Mrs. C. A. Avery. Five nephews and a cousin were pall-bearers: Charles A. Moodey, son of the late Samuel Moodey; Frank C. and Herbert L. , sons of the late Moses Moodey; Robert C. Moodey, son of the late Addison Moodey; Harry W. Avery, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Avery, and William Kerr, son of the late Levi Kerr.
