A son of Francesco and Anita D'DRMO PRONIO, he was born August 3, 1896, in Introdacqua, Italy. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of Cecil American Legion Post No. 793 and Les Solidaires, Cecil. He was a retired miner and a member of UMW Local 7732. Surviving are his wife, Beatrice MASCIO PRONIO; two sons, Frank of Bartlettsville, Oklahoma.; and Harry A. of Zanesville, Ohio, and two brothers Ottolinio and Raffalele, both in Italy. His first wife Germa (Jean), died February 1, 1962. Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday morning in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Cecil,Pennsylvania in charge of the Ref. Fr. John O. GRIFFITH. Burial was in Venice cemetery. ------------------------------------------- LAS VEGAS, NV: Harry A. Pronio, 86 of Las Vegas, Nevada -Founder and Chairman of the Board of The H. A. Pronio Enterprises passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010. Formerly of Zanesville, Ohio he has been a resident of Las Vegas for the past 34 years. Harry was born and educated in Cecil, Pennsylvania. Harry was the guiding light behind the remarkable growth and development of The H.A. Pronio Enterprises, from a single employee to a medium size organization that produced farm machinery, Kool Vent Aluminum Awnings, a tool for the steel industry, distributor of gulf oil products, real estate holdings, business broker and a business-personal consultant. Harry believed in hard work, in the ceaseless quest for the better way to do a job. He was an innovator on the scale of other American Industrialists. Harry A. Pronio's dedication to the business and to his philanthropic causes was exceeded only by his devotion to his beloved wife: Joyce, who shared with him every challenge, every triumph, and every failure. Theirs was a unique relationship. He was the boss at the office with her second in command and the controller of the money. She was the boss in the home with him second in command and control of the maintenance and kitchen help. Joyce passed away May 19, 1998.
