hey there...I'm working on this due to the marriage of a Margaret Scammehorn to Samuel Davison/Davidson...I have no clue if they are "mine" ...but there were clues so I have to prove/disprove it. I have a local gal who does research for me (very reasonable) and just today got a stack of copies from her about the Scammehorns. Seems that Luke dies, leaves his wife Susannah to marry a LANCASTER/LEACASTER? and then in Orphans court there are several choices made for each child...and behold...Margaret is turned over to William Davidson! So, I'm still piecing together things...do you have this documents? Do you have the land records? I haven't transcribed anything yet...just don't have enough to know if this is "mine" yet... I need to find a Samuel DAVISON (c1774-c1830's) who marries Mary Unknown c1795 and has 8 children (per census)...I have an 1825 land record (Washington Twp, Fayette Co., PA)...and then loose them....I was hoping to see Margaret referred to somewhere as a Mary...but I didn't...so it's not looking good....
