Gina Nestor gave me her very long and very complete "Cemetery Database" to use online, including the format she used to list the information for each cemetery. It gives name, address, location, background info, where to find more information, etc. I've tried to add information to the database when I or a submitter knows or discovers additional details. Gary L. Caldwell added GPS coordinates to the cemeteries he typed up. I've tried to make sure "all cemetery names" are given if a cemetery changed names or was/is known by multiple names. I've used Gina's Database to make an online "card" for each cemetery; the "card" lists the database info. Then, on separate web pages, I post the burial list. The entire database has been online for a while, as one long file. You could probably find it quick by using the search term "database", "Gina Nestor", or by the cemetery name. If the name you use does not come up, it may be known as a different name. We had many cemeteries online before from when Christina Hunt was webmaster. "Nacs" from this list added photos last year of cemeteries around Charleroi, PA. Gary L. Caldwell submitted Census info for many cemeteries that were "read" by the DAR around 1937-1938. Many of these cemeteries were in poor condition at that time for many now un-used cemeteries. Gary's additions so far have added almost 2,000 names to the online cemetery database. (I need to add up totals for all the ones online.) Here are the newest additions: 374 names for BRUSH RUN (PETERS CREEK UNITED PRESBYTERIAN) CEMETERY 261 names for Center United Presbyterian Cemetery 150 names for Chartiers Cross Roads Presbyterian Cemetery 304 names for Raccoon Presbyterian Church Cemetery (Candor) 248 names for WEST FINLEY CEMETERY BURNSVILLE, PA 424 names for The Upper Buffalo Presbyterian Church Cemetery 127 names for Tucker Methodist Episcopal (Stone) Cemetery (Tucker United Methodist Church) 355 Venice United Presbyterian Cemetery now Venice Presbyterian Church USA 11 (plus missing) names for Wayside Cemetery (Dager Cemetery) Glyde, North Bethlehem Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania NOTE: "Totals" will never be accurate for any of cemeteries. Many old cemeteries had unmarked graves, now forgotten. Many cemeteries never kept records of burials. If the cemetery was in-use, more burials may have occurred after a "reading" was completed. Therefore, the "totals" only represent the numbers found at the time of a reading. Anyone can submit info about names "missed" during a reading, or submit corrections. I still have several more cemeteries to do. I'm also still working on other submissions.
