Mrs. Kalakewich was born March 7, 1894 in Bardejov, Czechoslovakia, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Haimnacsek Fedarko. She was a Catholic in faith. Mrs. Kalakewich had been a resident of the Waddington Nursing Home for the past two years. She formerly had resided at the Char House in Charleroi. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kalakewich, and a son , John Kalakewich. Surviving are two sons, William Kalakewich a jeweler, of North Charleroi and Robert Kalakewich of Washington, Pa; four daughters, Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Altman of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Robert ( Mary ) Rudolph of Sandusky, Ohio, Mrs. Harold ( Anna Mae) Smith of Gaithersburg, Md., and Theresa Kalakewich of Cheasapeake, Va.; 24 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home , 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon The Vally Independent ( Monessen, Pa) March 22, 1989 Kalakewich Correction Theresa Fedarko Kalakewich 95, of Fayette City R. D. 1 formerly of the Char House, who died Tuesday march 21, 1989 in the Waddington Nursing Home, Fayette City, was preceded in death bya ason, Frank Kalakewich; and by two daughters, Helen Pyrdeck and Elizabeth Kalakewich.
