Margaret was born on December 27,1919, in Charleroi, PA, to Frank and Teresa Kalakewich. On September 6, 1942, she married Walter Altman in Fort Bragg, NC. He predeceased her in 1987. Mrs. Altman was the devoted and loving mother of Sharon Miller of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, Teresa Salmon and Barbara Griffen of Norfolk, VA, Gale McGuire of Buchanan, NY, Oscar Altman of Hampton, VA, and Walter Altman Jr. of Hollywood, CA. She was the adored Grandmother of Cheri and Jack Salmon, Melissa and Crystal Altman, Amanda and Brian Griffen, all of Virginia, and Robin, Robert and Michael Miller and Tana, Meranda and Shaun McGuire of New York. She also leaves behind her precious great grandchildren, Conrad, Nicholas, Ryan, Olivia Rose and Olivia Paige. She is survived by her sister, Mary Rudolph of Sandusky, OH, Brother William Kalakewich of Charleroi, PA, and sister-in-law Arlene Paulson of Fl! orida. Graveside services were held at Hampton National Cemetery and the funeral services were arranged with love and care by the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home of Tidewater Drive Chapel.
