By 1930 they had moved to Weirton, WV. The 1930 census asks for "age at first marriage." The marriage I'm interested in is the second for both. At the time of their marriage Marius(b:1872) would've been in his late 30s and Julia(b:1860) in her late 40s. Sorry for not including this the first time. If so, I'm hoping you can find the marriage record for Marius Vernet and Julia (Morin) Monseau that took place sometime between the 1910 and 1920 census. Most likely closer to 1910. Julia's first husband, Hubert Monseau, died in 1909. Julia then married Marius Vernet with whom she lived until her death in 1943. Julia was my great-great grandmother and I'm hoping to identify her birth-town. Sorry for the large time frame. Thank you for your help. Author: muller1938 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.washington/3870/mb.ashx Message Board Post: William Polen (b. 1862 in Aleppo, Twp., Greene Co., PA-- d. unknown in 1953?), son of John Thomas Polen, Sr, married Sarah Lavina McCracken (b.1862 in Greene Co., PA-d. 1946 in Scenery Hill, Washington Co., PA) about 1883. John Thomas and Sarah Lavina had 8 or 9 children, and Sarah Lavina claimed to be divorced and was living with her parents at the time of the 1910 census. In 1920 and 1930, Sarah Lavina claims to be a widow. I cannot find William in the census AFTER 1900. Despite Sarah Lavina's claim in 1920 and 1930, an unknown source claims that William died in 1953 (location unknown). QUESTIONS: Where was William Polen in 1910, 1920 and 1930? When and where did William die, and where is he buried? What did William do for a living? Where is Sarah Lavina McCracken Polen buried? John Thomas Polen, Sr. is my wife's great, great grandfather so William would have been her great uncle. Willing to share information. Kilbourne around 1868/1869, as their daughter Margaret was born April 24, 1869 in Painesville, Lake Co.,OHIO. Daughter Margaret died 10 April 1939 in Painesville and was a librarian at Morley Library in Painesville. "J.B." was a Captain in the Tenth Ohio Volunteer Regiment and was born March 16, 1823 (don't know where) and died June 12, 1885 in Painesville, Lake Co.,OH. He was mustered into the 10th OVR on Jan. 9, 1863 and mustered out Aug. 9, 1865. I am compiling a Roster of all Lake County Civil War Veterans for the Lake County History Center (Ohio) and this is the info I have on this family. Would be interested to know the parents of Margaret Moody and a marriage date if anyone is researching this family. Thanks in advance, Ruth Sprowls (HI EVERYONE - working on 1,353 CW veterans for this project)

    3. Ludwig Miller lived on border of German Twp. and Manellen Twp. in Fayette Co., Pa. He died 1813 listing wife Barberry and children Samuel, Nicholas, Solomon, David, Jacob, Abraham, Catherine, Hannah, Elizabeth, Mary and Rebeckah. I find a Samuel and Nicholas Miller listed on Manellen Twp. for 1783. Thereafter these two are listed in Luzerne Twp. In 1795 and 1796 there are two Samuels listed, one as Samuel Dutch and one as Samuel Irish. Question: is the Samuel Miller in Luzerne Twp. the son of Ludwig? If so, which one Irish or Dutch? A Samuel Miller had a 1786 warrant for 377 acres on Dunlop Creek in Luzerne Twp. Same guy? I also wonder if this Samuel Miller could possible be same as the Samuel Miller who died 1821 in Mt. Pleasant in Washington Co., Pa.? He had sons Isaac, John, James, Samuel, Robert and David. Thanks.
