Or is there anyone that can do a look up? I'm looking for a death/burail for Isaac Husk b: 1838. Lived in Greenfield Borough, Washington Co PA in 1880 according to the 1880 census. But he tended to move around quite a bit, but I believe he stayed in Washington Co. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. In a historic timeline for the Golf Club of Washington is mentioned that it was turned into a temporary hospital during the flu epidemic. Do anyone know of an article about this? Or photos of the Club house? The original owner of this land was Andrew Swearingen; and his daughter Sarah (Swearingen) Cooke lived on the land referred to as "Belmont". Several generations are buried in the Cooke Burial Ground -- which is over the little hill and below the club house today. I believe that the "dwelling" with additions to the Golf Club is located today -- may have been an ancestral home. If anyone can help, please contact me. Thanks so much.
Some of you may remember back in 2007 I drove from NE Ohio to Washington to Citizens Library and made copies of the microfilm for the 1852-1854 births/marriages/deaths. We were going to transcribe them and enter into a database and post to Judy Florians website. WELLLLLL finally after life taking over and many interruptions, I have finished transcriptions. There are 145 marriages, 135 deaths and 45 births. Doesn't sound like a lot, but each record is chock full of siblings, children and daughters with married names. Later this week, the forms will travel to Florida for the winter - Marilyn Hlad will enter the information into the database, and then it will be proofed and then can go to Judy for submission. Thanks for your patience - I feel so relieved - whew - now back to the Civil War Vets for Lake Co.,OH. (never ending, isn't it?) Ruth Sprowls

Sorry it's taken a few days for me to respond back. We are also happy to share what information we have. We really only have information mostly from the United States from my great-grandfather (Alfred Cagnon) going forward, and we do not have any information on my grandfather's (August Berri Cagnon)siblings. What we do not have (and are trying to get) is any information from France on my father's side. Most of what we have is listed in the family tree we've been constructing on ancestry.com but we're stuck. Would you like to e-mail instead of going through the message board, or do you prefer to correspond this way? Also - we know that the ship that Alfred and Virginia (Berry) Cagnon and some of their children came over on was the Anchoria. (August Berri Cagnon was the first of their children to be born in the United States.) The ship was built in 1875 and I printed a photograph of it off of the internet. Thank you again! Hi Listers, Just thought I would mention, that if you wondered why Judy has not been on here for a couple days, it is that she's been under the weather, so to speak. It's taking her a while to get better & I believe she needs to just be taking her meds & make sure she gets her rest. I spoke with her a little while ago and that is my impression. She'll be back when she is up to reading her mail. Ellen Ballas

Am I remembering correctly that someone on this list was looking for a Justice of the Peace named O'Neil? I found a record of a marriage performed in Fayette Co. in 1900 by a "Jno. W. Oneil, J.P."

Not sure when she was there but this tells you that it was operating around the turn of the century. My mom born in 1937 remembers her mother would threaten the kids with being sent to Morganza if they misbehaved. She grew up in Greene co.
