I suspect that James M. Gallagher who was a Cumberland Presbyterian minister living in Jackson Co, PA in 1870 and 1880 is a descendant. James M. Gallagher was born in Pennsylvania ca 1821-1822. He was married to Ellen. In 1850 and 1860 he was in Venango Co, PA. He had two children: John, b ca 1851; and Mary b ca 1856. The widow Ellen W. Gallagher is listed in the 1900 census of Mercer Co. She was b ca July 1825. She was the mother of two children and one was living. Was James M. Gallagher a son of John and Mary (Black) Gallagher of Uniontown, Fayette Co, PA?
