I did not have the parents of James Karns and Mary Stoup. I saw on this Venango Co. forum that someone posted that Mary's parents where Adam and Eva Stoup(Straub), Adam's parents where Johan Peter Straub, Jr and Catharina Elizabeth, Johan Jr.'s parents where Johan Peter Straub and Anna Maria Barbara. Have you tried tracing Johan Peter Straub's children/decendents to find your Adam? That was where I was going to start my search. Sorry, I do not have more to help.
