On the Tracy side, the oldest known ancestor is Hile (Heil,Hyle)Tracy that moved to Venango County from New York before 1850. At least one of his sons and two daughters migrated to Venango County before their father. I am descended from Hile Tracy's grandson, James Hile Tracy. On the McClintock side, the oldest known ancestor in Venango County was Hugh (married to Rachel Hardy). I am descended from their grandson Andrew Jackson McClintock. Many of my ancestors were involved in the oil industry, and my particular line moved west to work in the oil fields in California between about 1905 and 1909, but still stayed in close contact and visited with the family from Pennsylvania. I've been going through and organizing all of the material I inherited from my Tracy/McClintock related family and would like to share pictures and other information with anyone related to this family.
