Swarts son of Mary and John Swarts of Clarion, Co. Pa to Ella May Say of Venango, Co, after 1870 and no later than 1878. Her parents were James and Susan Say. They had two children Mouvinta ( Vinta, Tenta) born about Nov. 1878 in Oil City, Pa and Jerrold F. born about 1881 I think in February. Most likely in Oil City, Pa. as well. The 1881 year date was found in Jerrold's WWI information form that he signed. I know that this is the right Jerrold, because he list his sister Vinta Edwards as being his next of kin. However here is the kicker. When he died and was buried in Nickleville Cemetery in Nickleville behind the Presbyterian Church the date of his birth on the tomb stone was listed as 1879. I know this is the right Jerrold because he is buried with his mother Ella May Say Swartz who died in 1899. I am also looking for an obit for Jerrold. Even though he didn't die at least I don't think he died in Venango Co. but rather in Chicago, or New Orleans in 1929, I am hoping that there might be listed an obit for him in one of the Venango, Co. papers. The month might be April but then again I am not sure. This whole family is rather a puzzle and any help I can get filling in this last little bit of the puzzle would be a help beyond measure. With finances being as they are with my husband on Social Security and recuperating from heart surgery I can't spend any money on genealogy stuff, like sending for death certificates and the like.
