Mrs. Ziegler, an active member of the Cranberry United Methodist Church for many years and active in community affairs, died Tuesday evening in Franklin Hospital, where she had been a patient since August 30. Rev. Alvin M Rhodes, pastor of the Cranberry United Methodist Church will officiate. Mrs Ziegler was born March 10, 1900 in Cranberry Township, a daughter of Harry and Dora Stroup Rhodes. She attended the public schools in Cranberry and had lived in the Cranberry area all her life. She was a member of the CLC Class of the Cranberry United Methodist Church, the Cranberry Ladies Aid and the Cranberry WCTU. She was well known for her knitting ability and knit items for many people in the area. She also did considerable sewing for her family and for others. She and Charles W. Ziegler were married February 12, 1929. ! Surviving along with her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Paul R. (Lois Ann) Rice of Franklin RD 2; three grandchildren, Mrs. John J. (Sherry Ann) Barber of Edgewood, Md., Mark Lee Rice and Betsy Ruth Rice of Franklin RD 2; five brothers, Glenn B. Rhodes of Seneca, Donald A. Rhodes of Silver Spring, Md., Boyd P. Rhodes of Oil City, Paul A. Rhodes of Texas and Robert E. Rhodes of Seneca. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lester (Martha) Neely of Emlenton and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Ralph C. Rhodes, and a sister, Mrs. Wilbur (Trenna) Dahle, are deceased. Friends may call any time at the Frank S Huff Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today.
