Hello list, I have a marriage record here that turned out not to be my family. Groom is John T. Williams, age 23, and the bride is Maggie Black, age 21. They were married in Greenup Co., Ky. on 23 Aug. 1866. The groom is from there, but the bride is from Vennando? Vernando? Pennsylvania. They married at the house of Mrs. Black. Included in here is both the marriage bond as well as the marriage certificate. Also nice is the handwritten permission by Maggie Black's mother, Jane Black, for John to marry her daughter. The bondsmen are John T. Williams and John B. Patterson. I have also posted this to the Ky. lists. If anyone would like this record, I will send it to you.
