    1. [PAVENANG] Murray men in early Venango County PA: second try: adding my name!
    2. Three Murray got warrants for tracts in Allegheny County 1793-1795, which fell into Venango County when it was erected in 1800. The following information comes from the state land grant database. 1) James Murray got a warrant for 400 acres 20 December 1793; George Siggins got the patent 12 November 1835. 2) Samuel Murray got a warrant for 400 acres 20 December 1793; Pierce Butler got the patent 2 February 1809. 3) James Murray got a warrant for 400 acres 18 March 1794; Dr John Mitcheltree got the patent 25 September 1820. 4) William Murray got a warrant for 400 acres 14 April 1795; John Field got the patent 24 January 1799. Presumably the Murray men sold their rights to these tracts to others who patented them. Happy to know for any information about these three, or possibly four, Murray men.
