I am curious, where would I find divorce records. I am looking for one for Ella May Say Schwartz, Swarts, Swarte. All spellings for the same person. Say was her maiden name. She married my grandfather as his first wife sometime after 1870. She was,lets say separated or divorced by 1885 I think, or else my grandfather was living in sin with what was supposed to be his second wife Nora Wheeler and in 1886 started having children. David and his second wife my grandma parted company possibly as early as 1909 right after the birth of their last child Marjorie who was # 7. When Ella May Say Schwartz, with various spellings of the name died in 1899, she was still listed as being Mrs. Schwartz according to an obit that I have. I live in Candor, NY and am on a fixed income and with the price of gas as you all well know, travel for such luxuries is not an option. Any help would be appreciated. a very confused granddaughter.
