If for some reason the link doesn't work well, go to: http://www.dsf.health.state.pa.us/health/site/default.asp and follow the links to the death certs area, and then to the genealogical area. This is the archive that has death certs after 1906, and all they need in terms of precise death date is the year. You have that. The list of requirements can look daunting, but what they really need is full name, year of death, and any other identifiers you have [ie spouse name, city and county of death].
