Cousins of Sugarcreek Twp, Venango County, PA, was born c1781 and died after 10 August 1814, but before 1815, probably at Sugarcreek Twp, Venango County, PA. After extensive research, his wife's name is unknown, but in accordance with the 1810 US census was born between 1784 and 1794. Samuel had four children, or Mary Ann, William, Samuel and Emeline. Recently, I discovered that an "Elizabeth (Sutley/Cousins), a widow" married a James Johnson c1815. Their son, John H. Johnson was born 11 August 1815 in Canal Twp, Venango County, Pa. James was born supposedly 6 May 1785 in Ireland and Elizabeth supposedly on 5 April 1791. James became an owner of 200 acres of land, location unknown. Four other children were supposedly born of this couple, or Sarah R., Robert H., Harrison R. and Hugh. (Please see History of the Western Reserve, Volume III, pages 1378-9, by Harriet Taylor Upton, published in 1910 by the Lewis Publishing Co., Chicago, IL.) Please note that there is an Elizabeth Sutley, born 5 April 1786 at Reading, Berks County, PA, d/o of Christian and Eve (Ermel) Sutley. The first and last information about Elizabeth is when she as "Elizabeth Graham" sells her right to her mother's estate, or 100 acres, to William and George Sutley on 20 November 1841. So.did Elizabeth Sutley, d/o Christian Sutley Sr, marry (1) Samuel Cousins c1805? After Samuel's death, did Elizabeth (Sutley) Cousins, a widow, marry James Johnson c1815? And lastly, did Elizabeth (Sutley/Cousins) Johnson, perhaps a widow again, marry (3) an unknown Graham by 1841. A last note is that Sarah Cousins, another daughter of Christian Sr., and sister to Elizabeth, married William Cousins, Jr., Samuel's brother in 1809.
