I have Lemuel Grant b. Aug 22, 1831 Ohio, d. Mar 23, 1920 Akron, Fulton County, Indiana, buried Akron citizen Cemetery "Old Cemetery" in Akron. His death record: DEATH: Lemuel Grant Welton Date: Mar 23, 1920 Location: Akron Age: 88 yr Gender: Male Race: W Source location: City Health Office Rochester Source notes: The source of this record is the book H-12 on page 10 within the series produced by the Indiana Works Progress Administration. He was also found in 1860 and 1870 in South Bend,St. Joseph County,Indiana living with his mother Samantha MILLER WELTON, in 1880 living in Portage, St. Joseph County, Indiana working as a harness maker with his wife Mary J. I show they had four children: Flora E., Homer G., Mary Josephine and Norbert A. Lemuel was the son of Alfred T. WELTON and Samantha (Semanthe) MILLER. Alfred was the son of Stephen WELTON, Jr. and Lucy THOMAS who also had a son Lemuel,b. Nov 24, 1766 in Waterbury,New Haven County, Connecticut. I have no verification of him other than other genealogists and I have no marriage information. I have WELTONS who married DIETERS who married MYERS in Ohio - it is possible there is a connection.
