Please, researchers of General Edwin Clinton Wilson and Elizabeth McCalmont Wilson, help me out. Their son John Adams Wilson b in Franklin on 9/24/1851, m Ida Gordon on May 18, 1875. Ida's parents were Hiram B. Gordon and Anne McClintock. I have the McClintock line pretty well nailed, but I'm having trouble with the Gordons. Hiram's father was Joseph Gordon b 1799, and Isabelle Foster, both of Wolf Creek Twp Mercer Co. Hiram apparently moved to Venango before he married. Herein is the problem, Joseph's parents are said to be George A. Gordon and a Miss Clark, who moved from Westmoreland Co to Venango Co. I cannot find a trace of George A.
